These resources will provide insight into how the programs engage participants and address critical social issues.
This section demonstrates how the I Am Invisible School Assembly Program and the Be You Showcase align with the core objectives of ENGL 1010: English Composition, particularly in fostering critical thinking, academic research, and clear communication. Through the development of these programs, the creator has gained valuable experience in addressing complex social issues, such as bullying and mental health, while integrating creative expression. These programs emphasize research-driven activities and reflective writing, similar to the objectives of ENGL 1010, helping participants develop persuasive communication skills and express their ideas clearly and effectively.
In designing these curriculums, the creator has applied the principles of revision and refinement—key elements of ENGL 1010—by crafting content that encourages critical engagement with texts and constructing evidence-based arguments. This process has deepened their understanding of combining creative expression with academic research, ultimately preparing students to demonstrate the skills of critical analysis, research, and practical communication skills that are central to earning college credit in ENGL 1010.
