         Sharon Kaye Edwards | Founder & Executive Director

Sharon Kaye Edwards leads I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE with a strong foundation in behavioral science, community development, and trauma‑informed advocacy. She is completing her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a concentration in Community Development at Austin Peay State University, with graduation expected in 2026. Sharon is a member of the National Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma, and Alpha Kappa Delta. She holds certifications as a Peer Recovery Specialist, QPR Suicide Prevention Instructor, Youth Mental Health First Aid provider, and is Narcan‑trained through the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Sharon’s leadership is defined by strategic outreach, community engagement, and a deep commitment to ensuring every young person feels seen, valued, and supported.

            Ellery Edwards | Co‑Founder & Director of Visual/Photography

Ellery Edwards brings 28 years of distinguished military and civil service to his leadership role at I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE. A retired U.S. Army First Sergeant (E‑8), he has extensive experience in operations, mentorship, and resilience‑building, including serving as an ROTC instructor at the University of Memphis. As Co‑Founder and Director of Visual/Photography, Ellery oversees the organization’s creative direction and visual storytelling, ensuring every image reflects dignity, hope, and healing. He is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid and serves as a mentor within Veterans Treatment Court. His leadership blends structure, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to empowering youth and families.

Published Works & Film Projects

Mrs. Edwards is the published author of three impactful books—each designed to support youth empowerment, emotional wellness, and social‑emotional learning. Her work extends beyond the page into film, where she co‑wrote the award‑recognized short film I’m Invisible alongside Professor Seymour Hagans. I’m Invisible – A Short Film Co‑written by Sharon Kaye Edwards and Professor Seymour Hagans, I’m Invisible premiered at the 2016 Southern Entertainment Awards in Tunica, Mississippi. This powerful short film explores the emotional experiences of youth facing bullying, invisibility, and mental health challenges through a trauma‑informed lens. The film has been featured in schools, universities, and community programs nationwide, continuing to serve as a tool for healing, education, and empowerment within Sharon’s advocacy work and curriculum design.

APSU Mindful Futures Symposium 2026

Sharon, representing I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE, served as an official community partner for the APSU Mindful Futures Symposium 2026. She was invited by APSU leadership to participate as a tabling partner, sharing resources, engaging with students, and supporting the university’s mission to promote mental wellness, resilience, and community collaboration.

Our team includes licensed mental health practitioners, certified educators, creative mentors, and dedicated volunteers who bring deep expertise to every program we deliver. Together, we design trauma‑informed initiatives, lead school and community workshops, and create safe, supportive environments where young people feel recognized, respected, and empowered. Whether through direct service, program development, or community engagement, each team member plays a vital role in strengthening our impact and building a future where no young person feels invisible.
