Culinary Art and Mental Health
Culinary art classes offer a therapeutic outlet for individuals battling depression and mental health challenges. Cooking can promote mindfulness, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment, helping reduce anxiety and stress symptoms. Individuals can find joy and relaxation by focusing on preparing and creating meals, which contributes to overall emotional well-being.

I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE partnered with “Cooking The Wright Way,” a non-profit organization led by celebrity chefs Sterling Wright and Brandon Williams, to promote self-worth and self-esteem among youth. Their initial class in 2022, which was free for youth and teens in the community, was a major success, as highlighted in the news article we have provided for you. The chefs collaborated with local chefs Robin Williams and her son Brandon Williams. Additionally, a junior chef from the Nashville culinary class “Cooking The Wright Way” was featured as a guest chef.

Please listen to the initial interviews from the youth as conducted by Chef Sterling Wright. Your support and interest in these stories help amplify the voices of our young participants and further our cause.
