Sharon's expertise is backed by her education at Fisk University, where she majored in Human Development and Leadership, and later transferred to Austin Peay State University, where she majored in Sociology and Community Development. She holds certifications in:

  • CPRS (Certified Peer Recovery Specialist)

  • QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer)

  • Youth Mental Health First Aid USA

 

         

 

We are honored to have been invited to participate in the LG Health Fair in Clarksville, TN. This event provided essential community resources and information, addressing physical, emotional, and mental health needs, including bullying and suicide prevention, for both employees and their families.

In addition to offering valuable information, we also provided free giveaways to attendees, further supporting their well-being and engagement.

I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE:   Healthy & Holistic Workshop 2024

In 2024, I AM INVISIBLE BULLYING AND SUICIDE was honored to take part in the Navigating Depression Workshop. This event covered a wide range of topics, addressing the financial, social, nutritional, physical, spiritual, and mental health aspects of depression, bullying, and suicide. Sharon, our executive director, was a guest panelist at the event, sharing her expertise and insights with the attendees. Through these comprehensive sessions, we aimed to provide valuable support and guidance to those facing these challenges.

From 2017 to 2024, Sharon Kaye Edwards has been a dedicated Workshop Facilitator at the Juvenile Justice Conference. Her workshops cater to both youth and adults, focusing on providing valuable insights and strategies for addressing juvenile justice issues, promoting mental health, and supporting at-risk individuals. Through her expertise and commitment, Sharon has played a crucial role in empowering and educating attendees, contributing to the conference's mission of making a positive impact on the community.

Juvenile Justice Conference 

QPR Workshops (Mental Health) 2017-2024

Since 2016, Sharon Kaye Edwards has served as a QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Instructor. In this role, she has been responsible for training individuals in the QPR method, an emergency response to someone in crisis, much like CPR for mental health. Sharon's responsibilities include teaching participants how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, how to offer hope, and how to get help and save a life. Her dedication to suicide prevention education has had a profound impact on raising awareness and equipping communities with the necessary tools to support individuals in crisis.
