Quantitative and Analytical Skill Set

My quantitative and analytical skill set reflects more than thirty years of professional experience across nonprofit administration, event operations, publishing, and digital management. The competencies demonstrated throughout my résumé, budget development, forecasting, measurement, data interpretation, cost evaluation, inventory tracking, and analytical communications show sustained engagement with mathematical reasoning in real‑world environments. These skills directly align with the learning outcomes of MATH 1010: Math for Society, which emphasizes practical, applied quantitative reasoning.

Financial Management and Budgeting

Across my leadership roles, I manage financial operations that require numerical accuracy, proportional reasoning, and evidence‑based decision‑making. My responsibilities include developing annual budgets, analyzing expenditures, creating pricing structures, managing invoicing, and forecasting financial needs. These tasks involve evaluating cost‑benefit scenarios, comparing vendor rates, calculating revenue projections, and determining financially sustainable strategies for programs, events, and business operations.

Measurement, Layout, and Spatial Reasoning

My experience in event operations requires extensive use of measurement and spatial planning. I calculate room dimensions, determine spacing requirements, assess capacity limits, and design proportional floor plans. These responsibilities rely on unit conversions, geometric reasoning, and spatial analysis to ensure that event layouts are functional, safe, and aligned with client expectations.

Data Interpretation and Program Evaluation

My nonprofit and administrative leadership roles require interpreting numerical data to assess program effectiveness and organizational performance. I analyze participation numbers, review performance indicators, interpret trends, and evaluate cost‑per‑student metrics. These tasks involve identifying patterns, comparing quantitative outcomes, and using numerical evidence to guide strategic decisions.

Digital Analytics and Operational Evaluation

My digital management experience includes interpreting website analytics, comparing platform performance, and evaluating digital tools. I analyze engagement metrics, traffic patterns, and hosting or software costs to determine the most effective and financially responsible digital solutions for organizational needs.

Inventory Tracking, Contract Evaluation, and Quantitative Documentation

In both publishing and event management, I maintain inventory records, calculate reorder needs, evaluate vendor contracts, and document financial and operational data. These responsibilities require numerical organization, accuracy in tracking quantities, and the ability to calculate service rates, package totals, and cost structures.

Organizational Planning and Quantitative Decision‑Making

My résumé highlights skills in forecasting, scheduling, resource allocation, and operational planning. These responsibilities require estimating timelines, projecting future needs, balancing numerical constraints, and making decisions based on quantitative information. This work demonstrates the practical application of mathematical reasoning in complex, multi‑layered organizational environments.
